Abstract
Рассматривается процесс обучения чтению англоязычных юридических текстов в образовательных организациях системы МВД России, который состоит в ориентации на профессиональные потребности будущих сотрудников органов внутренних дел. Обращение к данной теме обусловлено тем, что процесс обучения иностранному языку связан с формированием способности создавать и интерпретировать информацию на иностранном языке в процессе осуществления профессиональной деятельности, с необходимостью читать специальную литературу и документы, общаться с зарубежными коллегами на профессиональные темы. Особое внимание уделяется вопросам учета особенностей юридического текста. Указываются основные приемы снятия трудностей при работе с англоязычной юридической литературой, например путем создания банка текстового материала и кратких комментариев по отдельным терминам и понятиям.
