Core Positioning and Characteristics Higher Education Research is an international open-access academic journal focusing on cutting-edge issues in higher education. The journal is dedicated to establishing a high-level platform for academic exchange, emphasizing theoretical innovation, policy analysis, governance optimization, and pedagogical practice transformation in higher education. We encourage interdisciplinary and multi-perspective research approaches, with particular attention to educational innovation in the digital transformation era, mechanisms of educational equity, quality assessment systems, student development pathways, university governance models, and international comparative studies. The journal is committed to publishing original research that demonstrates theoretical depth, empirical value, and practical relevance. 2. Scope of Submission The journal welcomes original academic papers in the following (but not limited to) areas: Theories and History of Higher Education Thought Curriculum Reform and Teaching Innovation Learning Sciences and Student Development Educational Technology and Smart Campus Construction Teacher Professional Development and Academic Career Research Higher Education Policy, Governance, and Evaluation Educational Equity and Diversity Globalization and Comparative Higher Education Economics and Benefit Analysis of Higher Education 3. Submission Guidelines Manuscripts must be original, unpublished academic work, adhering to academic ethics and norms. Submissions must be made through the journal’s online submission system and include the following: Chinese and English titles Author names, affiliations (in both Chinese and English), and contact details Chinese and English abstracts (Chinese: 300–500 words; English: corresponding content), clearly stating the research background, objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions Keywords (3–5, in both Chinese and English) Brief biography of the first author (name, title/position, highest degree, research interests, and email) The main text should be well-structured, preferably including sections such as introduction, research methods, results and discussion, and conclusion. References must be accurately cited. 4. Aims and Vision The journal aims to become an influential Chinese-language academic platform in the field of higher education research. With a mission to promote knowledge dissemination and academic innovation, we continuously strive to enhance the journal’s academic quality and international visibility. 5. Open Access and Copyright Statement The journal strictly follows the Gold Open Access publishing model. All accepted articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).
