Abstract
Negli ultimi decenni i dialoghi di Platone sono stati sempre più spesso studiati da una prospettiva letteraria. Anche la teoria del reader’s response e l’opera critica di Iser hanno influenzato gli studi platonici. L’obiettivo dell’articolo non è soltanto mostrare i debiti di questi studi nei confronti di questa teoria, ma rilevare alcuni problemi relativi alle pratiche di lettura antiche. Questa discussione potrà contribuire a chiarire alcuni aspetti della polemica platonica nei confronti della poesia e della scrittura e illustrare ulteriori direzioni di ricerca.
