Abstract
Questo contributo fa luce sul periodo di apprendistato della lingua italiana di Rinaldo Küfferle – svoltosi a Pontedera negli anni 1917-18 – durante il quale si consolida il suo mito per Gabriele d’Annunzio, di cui già aveva letto in patria molte opere in traduzione russa. Nel febbraio 1922 il giovane russo invia una toccante lettera al “divino maestro” al Vittoriale, unita a due suoi recenti componimenti poetici: raccontandogli la sua dolorosa vicenda di emigrazione e il suo fervido amore per la poesia, lo pone come guida letteraria in quella che sarà la sua feconda carriera di poeta, prosatore, librettista e traduttore.
