Abstract
Resumen El análisis tiene como objetivo caracterizar el comportamiento de la investigación científica sobre la participación ciudadana durante el período 2000-2017, a través de indicadores bibliométricos para determinar las tendencias de la producción científica y analizar el proceso evolutivo de la participación ciudadana, en función de las posibilidades que tiene la ciudadanía de influir en las decisiones municipales, así como la identificación de algunas brechas para futuras investigaciones. Se trabajó con 256 registros y para el análisis de los datos se empleó el Microsoft Excel y el Ucinet 6.0. Como resultado se comprobó que existe una tendencia al crecimiento siendo el 2005 el punto de partida, las temáticas más abordadas fueron la calidad de los servicios públicos y la participación ciudadana.  Palabras clave: administración pública, participación ciudadana, publicaciones, indicadores bibliométricos.  Abstract The analysis has the objective characterize the behavior of the scientific investigation about citizen participation during the period 2000-2017, by indicators bibliometric to determine the tendencies of the scientific production and identify breach to the new research. It was worked with 256 registrations. It was used the Microsoft Excel and the Ucinet 6.0. At the end, the tendency was that exists a growth, the point to growth up was the 2005 year.
