Abstract
Antes del triunfo de la Revolución, el conocimiento geológico de los minerales en Cuba era muy bajo. La Minería forma parte de un eje estratégico de desarrollo (Recursos naturales y medio ambiente); la obra de la Revolución se ha construido con recursos minerales cubanos. Según lo dispuesto en los documentos rectores “Conceptualización del modelo económico y social cubano de desarrollo socialista y en las bases del plan nacional de desarrollo económico y social hasta 2030” la Minería transversalmente y de manera directa contribuye con 5 sectores estratégicos (Construcción, Servicios Técnico-Profesionales y Salud, Alimentación, Producción de azúcar y sus derivados e Industria Ligera). El objetivo del artículo es fundamentar que la Minería forma parte de un Eje estratégico que potencia varios sectores de desarrollo del país. Para ello se emplearon los métodos: Histórico lógico, Analítico sintético, Prospectiva estratégica y la Consulta con expertos.Palabras claves: Minería, extracción selectiva de recursos minerales, Eje estratégico.Summary: Before the Triumph of the Revolution, the geological knowledge of minerals in Cuba was very low. Mining is part of a strategic axis of development (natural resources and environment); the work of the Revolution has been built with Cuban mineral resources. According to the provisions of the guiding documents Conceptualization of the Cuban economic and social model of socialist development and the foundations of the national plan for economic and social development until 2030, Mining transversely and directly contributes with 5 strategic sectors (Construction, Health and Technical -Professional Services, Food, Sugar Production and its derivatives and Light Industry). The objective of the article is to establish that Mining is part of a strategic axis that promotes several sectors of development in the country, using the following methods: Historical Logical, Analytic Synthetic, Strategic Prospecting and Consultation with experts.Keywords: Mining, selective extraction of mineral resources, Strategic axis.
