Abstract
In this research, it is aimed to investigate university students' seeking psychological help and romantic relationship status as well as gender and parental attitudes in terms of Gestalt contact forms. The study group consists of 794 university students studying at various universities. "personal information form" and "Gestalt Contact Styles Revised Form" prepared by the researcher were used as data collection tools. The data were analyzed with the SPSS 18.0 package program. In the analysis of the data, "t-test" and "one way analysis of variance" techniques were used. The results of the research show that there is a significant relationship between Gestalt contact styles of university students and gender, perceived parental attitude, romantic relationship status and psychological assistance status. The findings obtained in this direction are discussed in the related literature and some suggestions are presented. Keywords: gender, gestalt contact style, parental attitude, romantic relationship, seeking psychological help
