Abstract
Abstract This chapter traces Eva G. T. Green’s journey into political psychology, beginning with formative studies in intergroup relations and social representations in Finland. She gains critical research experience in Switzerland, the United States, and the Netherlands, collaborating with prominent scholars on symbolic racism, social dominance, and immigration attitudes. Green develops a multilevel, contextual approach to ideological climates, integrating social norms, identity, and large-scale survey data to examine diversity attitudes. She also plays a key leadership role in the International Society of Political Psychology, advancing diversity, inclusion, and support for scholars under threat. Finally, the chapter emphasizes political psychology’s responsibility to foster social change by addressing global challenges through problem-oriented, empirically grounded research and inclusive academic engagement.
