Abstract
This letter highlights three considerations in interpreting the association between basal cell carcinoma burden and quality of life in basal cell naevus syndrome and high-frequency basal cell carcinoma. We discuss the distribution of lesion burden, potential diagnostic misclassification related to limited genetic testing, and the value of direct psychosocial assessment alongside lesion counts.
