Abstract
A 37-year-old Black man from South Africa presented with asymptomatic eruptive xanthomas and was found to have severe hypertriglyceridemia and newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes. Lipid lowering therapy achieved rapid biochemical and clinical improvement, highlighting the importance of early recognition of this cutaneous marker of systemic metabolic disease.
