Abstract
Abstract Supramolecular polymers (SPs) are noncovalently formed molecular assemblies that have been actively studied in terms of molecular design, self-assembly processes, and morphological control. SPs programmed via surface modification can serve as outstanding mesoscale scaffolds for guiding various nanomaterials into ordered assemblies. This highlight review summarizes the author’s achievements regarding the hybridization of SPs and semiconductor nanocrystals (NCs) to form unique one-dimensional arrays of NCs. These advances demonstrate that this hybridization strategy is an effective approach for realizing ordered mesoscale materials.
