Abstract
Abstract Topic Benign Disease: Esophageal Surgery Video Description This is a video presentation of a laparoscopic trans-hiatal resection for an epiphrenic esophageal diverticulum. This lady presented with dysphagia with subsequent workup showing hyper-contractile esophagus and esophageal-junction outlet obstruction, imaging and contrast showed a 4cm large left epiphrenic diverticulum. This video shows how the trans-hiatal dissection and resection of the diverticulum was performed, along with a Heller's myotomy and Dor's fundoplication. Post-operatively she recovered well and remained asymptomatic on long-term follow up.
