Abstract
Glaciers across High Mountain Asia have been losing ice much faster since 2000, with the overall rate increasing by 54% compared with 1975–2000. This acceleration was highly uneven, with the fastest ice loss occurring in the western Himalaya and southeastern Tibet, while some glaciers along the southern margin of the Tarim Basin became stable or even gained mass.
