Abstract
Abstract This chapter focuses on guiding young autistic adult (YAA) in clarifying their values, identifying needs, and defining realistic goals to strengthen self-knowledge and motivation. It emphasizes aligning personal goals with core values such as family, peace, and curiosity to create meaningful direction in life. The chapter trains YAAs to anticipate challenges, develop strategies to address them, and break large objectives into manageable, step-by-step tasks. It highlights the importance of motivation and self-reward systems, encouraging supporters to engage in discussions about perseverance and personal motivation. Finally, the chapter underscores self-determination and self-advocacy as essential elements in fostering independence and sustained goal achievement.
