Theism and (Im)Plausible Causal Principles

Abstract Contingency arguments purport to derive the existence of a necessary concrete being from the fact that there’s contingency. Noël Blas Saenz has raised an interesting objection to a causal principle at play in a recent contingency argument. Here, I show that Saenz’s objection has a limited scope since it depends on a contentious metaphysical assumption.
