Abstract
Abstract Given competing death causalities among hematological malignancy patients with invasive aspergillosis (IA), we assessed IA-attributable, contributable, and all-cause mortalities in patients with culture-confirmed IA. Although attributable mortality decreased, contributable and all-cause mortalities remained high. Our data suggest that improving survival would require host augmentation, in addition to improved antifungals.
