Abstract
Abstract The first examples of dibenzo-5,10-diazacorrole (DBDAC) were prepared as phosphorus(V) complexes through the complexation of the corresponding dibenzo-5,10,15-triazaporphyrins with PBr3, accompanied by meso-nitrogen extrusion. The optical and redox properties of the PV complexes of DBDAC were investigated using spectroscopic techniques, cyclic voltammetry, and theoretical calculations, which revealed the significant electronic effect of the two meso-nitrogen atoms incorporated into the corrole framework. All complexes exhibited red fluorescence, with quantum yields ranging from 0.15 to 0.18.
