Abstract
In this single-centre cohort with anorectal melanoma, curative-intent surgery was associated with significantly improved overall survival, confirming its central role in operable disease. In the advanced or unresectable setting, immune checkpoint inhibitors were superior to chemotherapy in terms of progression-free survival and response rate, although nearly two-thirds of patients failed to achieve disease control, highlighting the need for more effective therapeutic strategies.
