Abstract
Zero-dimensional carbon nanomaterials present immense possibilities in the field of new diagnostic and therapeutic technologies to diagnose, treat, and monitor CNS diseases, as seem in the applications for Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and stroke. Their ability to cross the BBB, antioxidant properties, inherent photoluminescence, ability to improve the effectiveness of medical therapies, and early and precise detection of pathophysiology markers of those diseases highlight this potential.
