Abstract
Crystalline organic metals are highly anisotropic due to the nature of their crystal structures formed by stacks of molecules with ‘π-systems’. They are realizations of quasi one-dimensional sets of interacting electrons. Like a line of cars in a narrow road, electrons in strict 1D systems cannot overtake each other. They can only move collectively, as described by the Luttinger liquid model, which will be briefly introduced.
