Abstract
Until recently, the process of repurposing drugs to treat patients with unsolved medical needs was well-known to healthcare stakeholders, but not to the general public. Now, the recent COVID-19 pandemic has brought repurposing into the public eye more than ever. This chapter presents the opportunities presented by repurposing research in low- and middle-income countries.
