Abstract
In chapter 2 a new multiplace generalization of associativity preserving homomorphisms, a ‘heteromorphism’ which connects polyadic systems having unequal arities, is introduced via an explicit formula, together with related definitions for multiplace representations and multiactions. The classification of heteromorphisms is given, and it is seen that their arity are not arbitrary, but ‘quantized’. Then regular multiactions are introduced and the corresponding regular multiplace representations are defined.
