Abstract
The types of deposits distinguished are those of active glaciers, now represented by uplifted marine sediments, ground moraine, and terminal moraine, and those of stagnant glaciers, now represented by fluvioglacial sediments and ablation drift in valleys, stagnant ice deposits on plateaus and along the ice divide, and thin drift, characterized by frost features, in mountainous areas.
