Abstract
THIS magnificent fireball appeared about five minutes after ten, P. M., Cincinnati mean time, and was seen over the whole region from Pittsburg to New Orleans, and from Charleston to St. Louis, an area of nine hundred miles in extent.Through the kindness of friends, and from newspaper notices, I have been able to collect much information respecting it, the most important of which is presented in the following summary.I wish to express my indebtedness to Mr. Robert Brown, Jr., of Cincinnati, for valuable assistance.Materials which he had collected for his OWIl UBe
