Abstract
Further measurements have been made in an attempt to fix the equilibrium temperature of brucite dehydration at a water pressure of 15,000 p.s.i. These data obtained from quenching studies suggest an equilibrium temperature near 605 degrees C. A study has also been made of the influence of time on the crystallization of amorphous alumina. These data clearly demonstrate extensive metastable crystallization of boehmite and indicate the necessity of time variation in phase relation studies.
