Abstract
Geologic and petrologic investigations of the quartz diorite and surrounding rocks indicate that this plutonic body was formed through recrystallization and local mobilization of the older Skagit Gneiss. Modal analyses of the Skagit Gneiss-Black Peak Quartz Diorite complex are tabulated, and percent distribution diagrams are shown for minerals, oxides, and Si cation.
