Abstract
THE conclusions, which flow from the fact, illustrated in the two preceding numbers of this Jo Lll'[) aI, that the limestone areas of Vermont and Berkshire are geologically one, ma'y be presented under the following heads:1. Chronological conclusions: or the equivalence and age of the formations.2. Lithological conclusions.3. Orographic conclusions.And, as a sequel to this discLlssion, I propose, next, to present stratigraphical facts bearing on the geological relations between the area which has been under consideration and the country lying to the southward and eastward of it, in Connecticut and New York.
