Abstract
Finch discusses the rainfalls which sometimes accompany volcanic explosions, with special regard to the explosions of Kilauea in 1924. He concludes that such rainfalls, while sometimes warm, are never hot, and that most of the precipitated water is from the atmosphere, not from volcanic steam.
