Abstract
A method for construction of a petrofabric diagram is described, involving combination of both reflection and transmission techniques. A standard petrographic thin section and a Weissenberg-type X-ray camera are used. An X-ray diffraction photograph is produced which contains complete petrofabric data for the sample and can be interpreted directly.
