Abstract
The UV interstellar extinction obtained from observations using the OAO-2, Copernicus and TD-1 satellites, is fitted to simple analytical expressions in the variable x = 1/λ. The feature centred at |$\lambda \simeq 2200$| Å can be fitted to a Lorentz profile; this result may be of physical significance.
