Abstract
Questions the validity of applying the law of equal volume in calculations of metasomatic changes in bulk composition of silicate rocks and suggests a method for calculating the changes, which is based on the assumption that the number of (Si, Al)O ~4~ tetrahedra remains constant during processes of regional metamorphism and granitization.
