Abstract
The caliche pseudoanticlines form a series of low ridges developed in competent limestone beds. Arching of the beds is considered to have been associated with caliche formation. Sustained high temperatures probably are an important factor in the buckling process. Recognition of the structures is significant not only for geomorphic investigations but also for stratigraphic mapping.
