Abstract
"Jadeite is observed in pelitic, psammitic and mafic crystalline schists in a low-grade part of the Sanbagawa metamorphic belt of central Japan. Stable association of jadeite and quartz in some of these schists is believed to show that the temperature and pressure prevailing in the formation of these schists may have been 200-300 degrees C and 6-12 kilobars respectively."
