Abstract
Neste artigo mostraremos como as elites de Buenos Aires comemoraram cem anos de Independência em 1910; a forma como aproveitaram a festa para colocar em andamento suas alianças com Europa, Estados Unidos e Chile, e rivalidades com países que consideravam um perigo constante, como Brasil e outros que, embora não perigosos, se apresentavam como enigmáticos.
In this article we will show how a elites of Buenos Aires had commemorated the century of independent in 1910; the way as they took advantage the party to put in progress it's alliances with Europe, E.E.U.U. and Chile, and rivalries with countries that considered a constant danger, as Brazil and others that, even only not dangerous, were presented as enigmatic.
