Abstract
The article deals with the discovery of an interesting codex containing the chronicles of the monastery of Nicosia (Pisa). Besides analyzing the manuscript philologically and materially so to clarify when and how it was composed, I examine at length one of the texts contained therein, the Life of Ugo da Fagiano, an unpublished text written in Pisan vernacular. The text is about to be published: the analysis I develop is aimed at elucidating the exact geographical, chronological and cultural circumstances of its creation.
