Abstract
Gianni Vattimo takes the benjaminian notion of distracted perception to bea condition of possibility of metaphysics' weakening. Such process gives rise to irreduciblesingular heterogeneities within it. It is inferred from this that, in the age of distracted per-ception, literature inscribes itself in its irreducibility to the violent thought of metaphysics, operating an effective resistance to this system.
