Abstract
A extrema originalidade da doutrina eckhartiana dos bilder, ou formas, deve-se, mais do que ao facto de conter novos elementos, à conciliaçáo entre três fontes à primeira vista incompatíveis: Platáo, Aristóteles e o pensamento cristáo. Neste artigo mostra-se que a doutrina eckhartiana dos bilder é simultaneamente a) a recriaçáo epistémico-aristotélica da doutrina platónica das ideias e b) a recriaçáo ontológico-cristá da doutrina aristotélica da cogniçáo. Como tal, trata-se de uma manipulaçáo técnica destas fontes, mais do que de uma doutrina mística.
