Abstract
This study intends to investigate the practice of the true saying in The Bacchantes, of Eurípedes. For so much, I will approach some mechanisms of power in Michel Foucault's studies, looking for the effects of the speech action that stamps a “parresiástico” contract among the shepherd, that acts as messenger to his sovereign.
