Abstract
+++ ln the viticultural region of the Loire Valley the chlorosing potential of the different geological calcareous formations varies greatly. It appears to be closely linked to the quantity of iron extractible with oxalate of ammonium which is important on certain glauconitic substrata. The pedological profile conditions (degree of evolution of lixiviation and accumulation of CaCO3), in relation with the climatic characteristics, allows the phenomena of ferric chlorosis in a year or during a dry period to be explained.   * Communication faite au Symposium International d'Ecologie Viticole, Constantza.
