Abstract
This paper aims at discussing the concepto social and cultural reproduction throhgh scholling, analyzing their actual potential and contributions to the construction of a discourse of resistance in education. It aspires, from a comparative method, verify the presence of connections between the paradigms of reproduction and resistance. For the success of our purpose, we exposed the main features of both sets theory, sometimes confronting them with the aim of finding common theoretical elements, “with the objective of comprehending the influence of the educational reproduction theory and follow up the own journey of the educational sociology during XX century. To accomplish that, we will dialogue with the main representatives of such paradigms and with some of the most influence commentators that have dedicated to study the theme. This way, we expect to find out the difficulties related to the so relevant theme to the field of education.
