Abstract

Son dönem Türk düşüncesinin önemli isimlerinden biri olan Cemil Meriç, sosyolog olmamasına karşın sosyoloji ile yakından ilgilenmiştir. Özellikle sosyolojik düşünce, sosyologlar ve sosyolojinin durumu, onun yazılarında yer almaktadır. Meriç, sosyolojiye eleştirel yaklaşmaktadır. Sosyolojinin bilimsel yönünden çok düşüncel yönüne vurgu yapmaktadır. Bu makale, Meriç’in sosyoloji tasavvurunu betimleyici ve eleştirel bir tarzda okumayı denemektedir.
