Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dengan teknik probing prompting berbantuan CD Pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas VII materi segiempat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 22 Semarang tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling sehingga terpilih kelas VII E sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen dikenai perlakuan pembelajaran CPS dengan teknik probing prompting berbantuan CD Pembelajaran, sedangkan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan pembelajaran ekspositori. Pengambilan data diperoleh dengan metode dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan data nilai UAS gasal tahun pelajaran 2014/2015, metode tes untuk memperoleh data kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa serta metode observasi untuk memperoleh data aktivitas siswa serta fenomena apa yang muncul yang memungkinkan terjadinya perbedaan di antara kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran CPS dengan teknik probing prompting berbantuan CD Pembelajaran efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi segiempat.
