Abstract
The first breeding record of the Citrine Wagtail (Motacilla citreola) in Romania is presented. A fledgling Citrine Wagtail was caught on Grindul Chituc, Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, on 07.2006. The bird was ringed, measurement and photos were taken. The bird had growing primary feathers suggesting an early age and thus a nearby location of the nest. The status of the species in Romania is presented with a discussion of the recent expansion in Europe.
