Abstract
Objective: this study analyzed the rate of tuberculosis (TB) infection among nursing students as well as the level of knowledge of these students about the disease. Results: the results demonstrated a low rate of TB infection. Conclusion: however, we identified gaps in knowledge from these students on issues that concern their own protection when in contact with the TB patient, suggesting the need to implement targeted and efficient measures on preventing occupational TB infection.
