Abstract
O objetivo deste artigo é estudar as imagens da religiosidade na poesia de Hilda Hilst, buscando entender a visáo da poeta sobre Deus. Por meio da análise de dois poemas da obra Do Desejo, entenderemos que a busca e a procura por Deus na obra hilstiana proporciona ao eu-lírico prazer e motivaçáo para viver. Fundamentando tais ideias em poemas e estudos de grandes críticos que estudaram a poeta, será perceptível o quanto a escritora inova nas imagens e nas metáforas para caracterizar Deus.
