Abstract
Dominguez Camargo, Hernando: (Santafé de Bogotá, 1606-Tunja, 1659). En el Colegio Seminario de San Bartolomé hizo sus primeros estudios, donde a los 13 años ya era "estudiante capista". En 1621 pasa de colegial a novicio de la Compañía de Jesús, en Tunja, donde transcurren sus años de probación, hasta que en 1623 pronuncia los votos perpetuos. Posteriormente, aunque se ignora en qué fecha, pasó a Quito. Es de presumir que allí debió servir en el Colegio de la orden y hacerse a la amistad de quienes después salvarían su obra del olvido, el Padre Antonio de Bastidas y el maestro Jacinto Evia.
