Abstract
E' relatado o caso de um indivíduo jovem, de 32 anos, preto, obeso, com artério e arteriolosclerose, desacompanhadas de hipertensão. O paciente teve hemiplegia direita, amaurose esquerda por arteriosclerose dos vasos retiníanos, e bloqueio aurículo-ventricular completo. A biópsia do músculo peitoral mostrou arteriolosclerose. Provas renais normais. Os autores comentam a possibilidade de se ter estabelecido a arteriolosclerose na ausência de hipertensão.
