Abstract
Publicamos otro documento, el último de la pequeña serie, con el cual, otro español, Gabriel de Torres, gobernador de Cartagena, rechaza el método pacificador de un Morillo o Sámano. Todo un militar, adicto incondicionalmente a la monarquía y preocupado por la recuperación de los territorios en manos de los patriotas después de la Batalla de Boyacá, no escatima severas críticas a la política pacificadora. Se refiere a una carta fechada el 15 de julio de 1819, es decir, antes del descalabro sufrido por el ejército español.
