Abstract
Prezentowany w niniejszym numerze Avantu artykuł Davida Kirsha to świetny przykład tego, jak dużo może wnieść do nauk kognitywnych kilka relatywnie prostych badań, zrealizowanych bez wykorzystania zaawansowanych technologicznie metod typu neuroobrazowanie, poświęconych banalnym na pierwszy rzut oka kwestiom. Wybrane wyniki badań Kirsha nad tańcem oraz techniką markowania zaprezentowano polskiemu czytelnikowi w tekście „Myślenie za pomocą ciała” (Avant T/2012). Zamieszczony w tym numerze tekst to zdecydowanie obszerniejsze omówienie wyników wywiadów, obserwacji oraz eksperymentów z udziałem 10 tancerzy oraz choreografa tworzących zespół Random Dance. Nie jest to jedynie raport z badań: wychodząc od analiz tańca, Kirsh omawia szereg kwestii zarówno natury teoretycznej, jak i praktycznej.
