Abstract
La época de la independencia es la que, tal vez, mejor y con más acuciosidad se ha estudiado en la historiografía colombiana. Un cúmulo de escritos que dejaron los próceres, tanto por la época en que vivían como por las dificultades que se interponían a una comunicación personal, ha permitido a los historiadores seguir paso a paso a los actores de tan magna empresa en sus mínimos detalles, a veces incluso anecdóticos.
